01/05/2026

Oxford North is proud to be again sponsoring Pint of Science Oxford 2026, the world’s largest festival of public science talks.

Pint of Science is an annual worldwide science festival, bringing researchers to pubs and cafes to share their scientific discoveries.

In the festival’s 14th edition, Oxford North will be exclusive sponsor of all Oxford venues.

This year, the award-winning global festival will take place between 18th – 20th May 2026, in over 600 cities across 25 countries and 45 towns and cities in the UK. All operating at the same time.

The mission is to bring together researchers and science enthusiasts alike in pubs and cafes to share their scientific discoveries. Each night provides a lineup of talks, demonstrations and live experiments held in relaxed and informal environments.

Venues and Themes

This year, Pint of Science Oxford will be taking place across three venues: James St Tavern and The Oxford Blue both situated on Cowley Road and St Aldates Tavern in the heart of the city centre.

The themes include ‘The Beautiful Mind’, which delves into the connections between neuroscience, psychology and psychiatry, lead by Dr Susanna Cooper, Postdoctoral Research Scientist at University of Oxford. ‘Our Body’, explores medicine, human biology and health, lead by Dr Gintare Smagurauskaite, Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Oxford and ‘Tech Me Out’ investigates the world of technology, robotics, computers and engineering, lead by Dr Lucy Garner, Research Fellow at Somerville College and Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Oxford.
