Oxford North to host AI Hackathon

27/04/2026

Oxford North has partnered with The AI Centre for Business to collaborate on an exciting Hackathon for aspiring innovators.

We will be hosting the ‘Building AI for Business’ Hackathon on 2 May at our recently opened innovation district.

It is an exciting opportunity to team up with people from diverse backgrounds and tackle real business challenges set by business leaders. Participants will design and build agents and workflows that can be adopted immediately. The key focus areas of the day will be AI agents, intelligent automation and workflow automation at scale.

Industry practitioners will be on hand throughout providing mentorship and guidance where required during the day. In the evening, teams will demo their work and receive constructive feedback from the mentors.

Dr. Emine Phillips of The AI Centre for Business said: “Oxford has always been a city where the world comes to think. Now it is where we think and build. This May, the people figuring out how AI actually works in business are not in a boardroom, we are in Oxford North."

Simon Ruck, Managing Director of Oxford North Ventures, said: “This exciting collaboration will bring together experienced and aspiring innovators to create solutions that could make a difference to the world we share. We are looking forward to welcoming them to Oxford North and seeing what they design and build within their teams".
