Supporting talent and growth: proud to be Headline Sponsor of Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024

17/05/2024

Oxford North was proud to be this year's Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards 2024 headline sponsor. Organised for the eighth year by Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, the event was held at Williams F1's Experience Centre.

From the winners of the five apprentice categories, we were honoured to be invited to choose the Overall Apprentice of the Year.

There were two stand-out candidates, and we commissioned the inspirational social business RAW Workshop to design and make the trophies.

Made entirely out of reclaimed oak for the top and hardwood for the base, these trophies were fitting for the deserved winners who were:

- Cecilia Badiale of Ridge and Partners

- Joshua Jones of Milestone Infrastructure.

Oxford North also had the honour of selecting the charity for the proceeds of the raffle. We chose Growing Minds which supports families and children up to the age of five.

William Donger, CEO, Thomas White Oxford said: “What an impressive group of young people and evening of celebration. We are proud to be headline sponsor of these awards and extend a big thank you to OxLEP, the Awards committee, all sponsors, and especially the companies and their apprentices, not forgetting the parents!

"Thank you also for the donations to our chosen charity Growing Minds. What they are achieving in supporting families and children under 5 is remarkable. It’s about having a bright future from the start.

"Thank you also to RAW Workshop for their superb craftsmanship. We look forward to continuing to work together.

"Lastly, many congratulations to Cecilia and Joshua - they were worthy winners who have navigated various challenges and turned these into opportunities to become the people you see today. We are excited to see where their future takes these two talented individuals."
